The October 15th tax deadline is looming quickly. Does this deadline apply to you? To ensure you pay your taxes on time and don’t incur any penalties, here’s a look at what’s due:
October 15th Tax Deadline for Extended 2018 Individual Income Tax Returns
If you extended your individual return on or before April 15th, 2019, you gained a 6-month extension period to file your return. Come the October 15th tax deadline, that extension is up and your return needs to be filed.
As a reminder, an extension of time to file is not an extension of time to pay, so if you did not make a payment with your extension and you owe tax upon filing your return, the IRS and related state & local tax authorities may levy interest and penalties on your amounts due.
Boundless Tax can also assist with getting your return filed on time! We have immediate availability to get your extended return completed before October 15th. Just click here to live chat with a tax pro and we’ll get right on it.
